Who We Are

Snacc is a nutrition tracking app developed by Pebble Labs. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Snacc, how we use it, and your rights around it.

Information You Provide

When you set up Snacc, you enter:

• Your name and age
• Height, weight, and gender
• Activity level and health goals
• Any health conditions you choose to share
• Daily calorie and nutrition targets
• AI companion name and personality preference

This information is stored locally on your device using your phone's secure storage. It is not uploaded to our servers.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you use the app, the following data is generated and stored locally on your device:

• Meal logs (foods scanned or searched, nutrition scores, timestamps)
• Water intake entries
• Weight logs and progress history
• Mood check-ins
• Challenge progress and streaks
• Notification preferences

None of this is sent to our servers. It lives entirely on your phone.

Camera & Photos

Snacc requests access to your camera to scan food items and barcodes. Photos taken during scanning are sent to our AI provider (OpenRouter) to generate nutritional analysis, and are not stored by us after the analysis is returned.

We do not access your photo library unless you explicitly choose to upload an image.

AI Features & Third-Party Services

Snacc uses the following third-party services to power its features:

• OpenRouter — processes food scan images and AI coach conversations. Text and image data is sent to OpenRouter's API to generate responses. OpenRouter's privacy policy applies to this data.
• RevenueCat — manages subscription purchases. RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt and subscription status. No payment card details pass through our app.
• Google Play — handles payment processing for subscriptions.
• Expo / Firebase — used for push notification delivery (meal reminders, hydration reminders). Only a device push token is used — no personal data.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above only to:

• Personalise your nutrition dashboard and daily goals
• Generate AI nutrition analysis from food scans
• Power your AI coach conversations
• Send you meal and hydration reminders (only if you enable them)
• Process and manage your subscription
• Show you your own progress over time

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

Data Storage & Security

Most of your data is stored locally on your device using secure storage. Data sent to third-party APIs (OpenRouter, RevenueCat) is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

We do not operate our own cloud database to store your personal health data. If you delete the app, your local data is deleted with it.

Children's Privacy

Snacc is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data the app holds about you (it's all on your device)
• Delete your data at any time by clearing app data or uninstalling
• Opt out of push notifications at any time via your phone's settings
• Cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play Store

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
